Glow - North Bay, Canada (2011)
ArtsHealth North Residency Program in the North Bay Regional Health Centre

Picture
I took part in the ArtsHealth North Residency located in the North Bay Regional Health Centre of Ontario from September 1 to November 15, 2011.

This unique program connects wellness and creativity by supporting artist residencies within health care settings. It is a means of introducing the arts and artistic practices to an audience who will benefit by exposure to the joy of creation. I've created new works exploring ideas of displacement through the use of decoupage and drawing.

I presented public art talks at the NBRHC and at the Nipissing University. I offered a workshop at the university for graduating students and offered weekly art workshops at the NBRHC. I was awarded a BC Arts Council Professional Development Project Assistance Award for my professional activities during this residency.

I kept a blog of my residency experience and adventure in North Bay Ontario.
