Art Residency at ArtsHealth North Ontario
I took part in the ArtsHealth North Residency located in the North Bay Regional Health Centre of Ontario from September 1 to November 15, 2011. This unique program connects wellness and creativity by supporting artist residencies within health care settings. It is a means of introducing the arts and artistic practices to an audience who will benefit by exposure to the joy of creation. I've created new works exploring ideas of dislocation through the use of decoupage and drawing I presented two public art talks and offered art workshops during my stay. I kept a blog of my residency experience.

Invited artist in Vancouver’s The Cheaper Show No. 9
The concept of The Cheaper Show is very simple: 200 multi-disciplined international artists presenting 400 pieces of art, each priced at $200 for one night only. Far from being an ‘art sale,’ each exhibiting artist consciously makes a sacrifice by selling their work for less than its potential value. This creates united support for the event, the arts community, and an opportunity for this show to take place in an environment that is accessible to everyone.
